LITTLE TRAVERSE TOWNSHIP
EMMET COUNTY, MICHIGAN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Township Board will conduct a Public Hearing at their regular Board meeting, March 13, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at the Township Hall to review the proposed 2024/25 fiscal year budget.
*The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.
The Township proposes to levy one (1) allocated mill for operations, and one (1) allocated mill for road construction, both to be adjusted by the Headlee Amendment. Copies of the proposed budget will be available on the Township website (littletraversetownship.org) on March 11, 2024. The Public has the right to present oral and written comments.
The Township Board will hear final comments to, and adopt the 2024/25 budget, general and special appropriation acts, along with possible sewer and water rate adjustments at a special meeting following the Township Annual Meeting on March 27, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. The agenda will also include settlement and payment of bills received and due prior to the next Twp. Board meeting.
This notice is posted and published in compliance with PA 267 of 1976 as amended (Open Meetings Act), MCLA 41.72a (2) (3) and the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA).
The Little Traverse Township Board will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered to individuals with disabilities at the meeting upon seven day’s notice to the Little Traverse Township Clerk.

Property Tax Bills are mailed twice a year.
July 1, 20xx and December 1, 20xx.
They are always mailed out by the Emmet County Treasurer’s Office on July 1 and then on December 1 of each given year.
If you do not receive a tax bill by the 15th of July for the first tax bill and then by December 15th for the second tax bill you need to call the township hall and ask for one to be mailed to you. We are also able to email the tax bill(s).
The first bill is always due on the 14th of September, unless it falls on a weekend or holiday, if that is the case it will be due by the next business day. The same goes for the second bill which is due by February 14th.

A drop box is available to right of main entrance.
Taxes received in the drop box by March 1st by 8:00 am will be posted as received by February 29th, 2024.
Anything received after that time will be sent to the Emmet County Treasurer’s Office.
